"God's Work, Our Hands"
Good Shepherd is working hard on ministries that help those in our community. Please review the below ministries to learn how you can help our neighbors in need. Jesus calls us to love one another. What better way to love than to give to those in need through these wonderful opportunities!
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven" - Matthew 5:16
THANK YOU!!! To everyone in the community who stopped by our car wash this past Saturday.
Your gracious gifts helped us raise over $200 for our community ministries!
Many neighbors will be fed through our Helping Hand food pantry and Monthly Community Meal.

School Supplies Drive update:
Thank you to all who supported our annual School Supplies drive for children in our community!!
This school season, 11 bags and one box filled with school supplies were delivered to Brookside Center. We extend a special thank you to MaryBeth and Mike Petzke who took the time to gather up and personally deliver these gifts to the Brookside center. God is in the midst of this holy work where gifts are shared from our hands into the hands of children and youth as they begin a new school year.
Nicole Novinec, Director of Food Services at Brookside Center, expressed thanks for our gifts as children, families and elderly visitors gathered in the waiting room as they waited expectantly for food and new school supplies.
Brookside Center is a continuously busy place - a reminder to us of the number of people in local Brooklyn and Cleveland neighborhoods who need to be fed with the mercy and compassion of Christ. With our support, Brookside Center can continue to provide the care that is so needed in our community. For more info on Brookside and The Centers, please click the links on our Ministries page.
Helping Hand Pantry: Stock the Pantry Drive!
GIVE THAT OTHERS MAY BE FED
God calls us to love one another. As the baptized, we live out this commandment in our care for neighbor and stranger. Feeding others, inviting them to the table and sharing from our own abundance brings the light of Christ into dark places marked by poverty and despair.
Together, we feed others according to our Lord's example. When you come for worship, please bring a non-perishable food item for the church pantry. Boxes are set up in the narthex for your donations.
As people come to Good Shepherd seeking mercy, let us be prepared to respond with love and care in Christ.
Click here for a complete list of needed items.
Each week, food collected in the narthex is taken upstairs and shelved in our Helping Hand Pantry in the church kitchen. Over the last several weeks, the shelves have filled out with a healthy supply of non-perishable food items.
In thankfulness for all we have and enjoy, let us make sure others are fed. Please continue to bring your food gifts to the designated boxes in the narthex when you come for worship.
If you are a member of the community who doesn't attend worship with us, but would like to drop off items for our pantry that helps all in our community, please join us on Sunday for worship and drop them in our collection site, or contact the church office at 216-661-9818 during church business hours, Tues-Thurs 8:30am-12:30pm to confirm a drop off time.
If you are in need of help, please contact the church during office hours to confirm we have items available and to schedule a pick up time.
Hunger is very real in our community and around the world. Please remember your neighbors in need and take the shopping list with you the next time you are shopping. God Bless everyone in advance for your generosity to our neighbors in need.

Thank you to all who have been bringing non perishable food items to help our neighbors through Helping Hand Pantry. This is an ongoing ministry and we can never stock the pantry enough as we have many neighbors in need who rely on these gracious gifts. Please prayerfully consider your neighbors in need and bring a nonperishable food item to worship on Sunday and place it in the Narthex on the collection table. Thank you, God Bless!
